The partnership held its first AGM in June 2008, at the meeting the partnerships Progress Report and Forward Plan was presented. The partnerships will be focusing on delivering a 20 year forward strategy for the area whilst developing a series of short to medium term  projects.

Key projects proposals are the developments of Withernsea Sea front which will include a cultural and Enterprise centre, a new commercial fishing compound, a business centre in Keyingham, a new 10 to 15 acre public wood and several projects to promote heath and well being. A link to the Progress Report and Forward Plan is shown on the right hand side of this page.

The Partnership is inclusive  and welcomes any organisation to become members who's aim would be to work strategically and operationally using their resources to further the development of Withernsea and South East Holderness for the benefit of all.

Withernsea Pier

The picture shown above is of Valley Gardens in Withernsea, which is used for open air events during the summer. In the middle of the picture and slightly to the right is what looks like a castle. It is actually the start of the old pier which sits on the promenade. The pier is long gone but it is still worth a visit for the sea views, local history panels and access to the beach.
