W&SHRP 2007 is one of several renaissance/regeneration partnerships within the East Riding of Yorkshire supporting the region's market towns and urban areas.
The W&SHRP 2007 brings together some 35 private, voluntary and public sector organisations who aim is to improve the areas economic wellbeing for residents and businesses, whilst respecting the natural and built environment.
The Partnership is inclusive and welcomes organisations to become members who wish to work strategically and operationally using their resources to further the development of Withernsea and its surrounding areas for the benefit of all.
The picture shown above is of Valley Gardens in Withernsea, which is used for open air events during the summer. In the middle of the picture and slightly to the right is what looks like a castle. It is actually the start of the old pier which sits on the promenade. The pier is long gone but it is still worth a visit for the sea views, local history panels and access to the beach.
